After previously working in museums and theaters, Zachary Small started contributing to The Times in 2019 and was hired in 2023.  Zachary Small spent years writing criticism for art publications until becoming an investigative reporter on stories about sexual misconduct, fraud, forgeries and violence in cultural institutions. Their first book, Token Supremacy details the frenzied collision of art and cryptocurrency.
