Naira Estevez

Naira Estevez works as management assistant at Missy Magazine, has temporarily been an editor of the podcast PISSY and occasionally writes articles. Her first book »Wo kommst du denn her?« (»Where Do You Come From?«) is an anti-racist children's non-fiction book. For her bachelor's degree in theater and film studies, she focused on feminist issues and took a close look at Beyonce Knowles' feminist style, for example. This also led to her translating two poems by the poet Warsan Shire for the German Federal Cultural Foundation. Naira is now studying for a MA degree in cultural and media management. Within political discourse, she is particularly interested in ideas, phenomena and people who, instead of drawing more lines and divisions, unite intersectional forces and ensure empowering cohesion.
