About

Maddi Fuente Ubani (she/her) is a Basque freelance performer, creator and facilitator who moved to Berlin over six years ago. As a creator, Maddi's work explores the intersections of body-memory and voice/sound work, approached through the lens of women's perspectives. She leads movement sessions for FLINTA* community at Neue Nachbarschaft/Moabit and weekly movement research classes at Tanzfabrik. As a performer, she is currently collaborating with director Leila Patzies and working as a stage assistant for Alexander Carrillo. She has also served as a choreographic assistant to Tamara Rettenmund and directed and performed Tracing Echoes at Hamburger Bahnhof Museum, Berlin.
Maddi is a co-founder of Ore Ama Collective, where she works as both choreographer and performer and she co-choreographs for the Welcome Home Collective (S27). She is touring her solo piece De boca a boca as well as accompanying families as a perinatal doula.
