About

Katharina Schneider is a Berlin-based graphic designer, illustrator and MA student at the University of the Arts Berlin. She completed an apprenticeship in marketing communication and holds a BA degree from the Communication in Social and Economic Contexts program, which she is currently continuing in the MA program.
Alongside her studies, she works in the field of graphic design and illustration. Her work often draws on aesthetic forms from past decades–especially the 1960s and 1970s–exploring imagery that expresses not only a certain style, but also mood, attitude and cultural context.
In her theoretical work, she explores the interplay between aesthetic forms, cultural movements and historical narratives–ranging from psychedelic countercultures to visual nostalgia and pop-cultural currents. Her focus lies in understanding how memory, design and cultural meaning intersect.
