Annette Doms

Annette Doms ist promovierte Kunsthistorikerin mit einer Spezialisierung auf technologiebasierte Kunst. Seit 2013 ist sie als geschäftsführende Gesellschafterin der ICAA Strategists GmbH als Sammlungsberaterin tätig. Dort betreibt sie außerdem Provenienzforschung im Bereich der modernen und zeitgenössischen sowie digitalen Kunst der Gegenwart. 2014 war sie Mitbegründerin von UNPAINTED, der ersten deutschen Kunstmesse für digitale Kunst.

Seit 2015 widmet sich Annette Doms der Blockchain-Technologie und deren Potenzial für die Kunstwelt. Mit der Gründung von xcircle, einer Galerie für virtuelle Kunst, sowie der Web3-Agentur NFTORY, die nachhaltige Metaverse-Konzepte und NFT-Branding fokussiert, leistet sie vielfältige Arbeit im Bereich der digitalen Kunst und Web3. Sie unterstützt zudem als Beiratsmitglied der XRXplorer School innovative XR-Bildungskonzepte.

Annette Doms ist seit 2019 Lehrbeauftragte an der LMU München für »Kunstgeschichte in Kunst und Multimedia« und unterrichtet seit 2023 als Web3-Dozentin an der Academy 4 Disruptive Minds. Sie ist zudem als Autorin und Speakerin tätig und hält Vorträge zu Themen wie Blockchain, Künstlicher Intelligenz und Metaverse.

Annette Doms holds a PhD in art history with a specialization in technology-based art. She has been a managing partner of ICAA Strategists GmbH as a collection consultant since 2013. There she also conducts provenance research in the field of modern, contemporary and digital contemporary art. In 2014, she co-founded UNPAINTED, the first German art fair for digital art, and Annette Doms has dedicated herself to blockchain technology and its potential for the art world since 2015.

With the founding of xcircle, a gallery for virtual art, as well as the Web3 agency NFTORY, which focuses on sustainable metaverse concepts and NFT branding, she does a wide range of work in the field of digital art and Web3. She also supports innovative XR educational concepts as a member of the advisory board of the XRXplorer School.

Annette Doms has been a lecturer at the LMU Munich for Art History in art and multimedia since 2019 and has been teaching as a Web3 lecturer at the Academy 4 Disruptive Minds since 2023. She is also a speaker and author, and gives lectures on topics such as blockchain, artificial intelligence and metaverse.
